Dennis: One reason was that I really want to use my potential as a person, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and I really felt that the diet was a path in that direction. So that was another inspiring place for me to concentrate more on my food intake and get a lot of exercise. Cary: What kind of changes has your body gone through as you gone through this transition? Particularly being a vegetarian. Dennis: Some of the changes were subtle. When I eliminated dairy from my diet I really notice that my sinuses were a lot better. I did not have any morning phlegm, that sort of thing. I used to have some allergies and my allergies cleared up. So eliminating dairy from my diet was a major transition and I think raw foods has really been a shift for me in terms of energy and just better sense of well-being and just more zest for life. Cary: Do you even as a vegetarian you were pretty lean but did you also drop a little weight when you switched to completely raw? Dennis: I did, I was about 195 to 200 pounds and with a height of 6’5 I definitely lost weight when I went on totally raw. My body had the opportunity to cleanse and I think I’m at my optimum weight now which is about 185 pounds and I really feel great. Cary: That’s
