I have never fasted before, but being a vegan, I am sometimes forced to not eat if there are no good food options for me. The intense hunger makes me feel like I am strung out from not eating… I even notice that I start to make rash decisions, and loose my patients, especially while working. Do these feelings go away when you fast?

Less then a yr ago I came to the conclusion that most people who over eat are eating like a 4 yr old. We leave our parents and go off to college and we can eat whatever we want. We gain weight and abuse ourselves through food.

I’m on the raw food diet! Today is day 8 (it’s 1 am). I’m definitely detoxing. My toungue is kinda whitish which has happened to me on fasts. At any rate, it’s pretty fun! It’s HARD, but I attribute that to me trying to do complicated recipes. I hope to eventually get the hang of it.

Other solution would be for each of us to grow at least 1 fruit tree if we have the space. To save and share heirloom seeds and also to randomly throw some fruits seeds around if you know what I mean.
fruit, lots of it, then add big salad after you’ve had enough fruit ; )
i need some more ideas for raw foods to eat… i eat sumthin raw everyday but i just dont know enough simple raw food ideas that i can make throughout the day… anyone any ideas please? peace

Dan, which books did you read to undrestand better the raw food principles?
and converts what you eat into fat where it can be burnt off as slowly as possible in prep for what it perceives to be the next potential famine.. Not helpful to an overweight person!

I think a common misconception is that if you eat more, you will be full longer. This is just not the case. If you eat too much, you feel lazy, and your body quickly transports all that extra glucose that enters the blood to be stored as fat. Also, not eating enough can slow your metabolism. Many people try going hungry for long periods, your body then goes into “famine mode” regardless of your weight – and when you do eventually decide to eat, your body tells you to gorge
