I have soaked quinoa overnight and it cooked in about 5 mins. I used less water to cook it and the texture was more palatable and less dry than non soaked quinoa. I got many compliments on my curry lentils with cooked quinoa added.
They’re sprouted.
Thanks Natasha as always you are the best!
why do you need to soak sunflower seeds?
Can’t buckwheat greens be poisonous?
correction: quinoa should NEVER be soaked overnight! it should first be washed thoroughly to get rid of the saponin, then soak for two to four hours. that’s all it needs to sprout. otherwise, it gets soft and acts like cooked quinoa.
Great video! I was wondering if you could share a recipe video on how to make a Japanese seaweed salad including sea vegetables like wakame or dulse! Thank you
Thanks.
I`m alwais worried …what to do with Buckweat…. : )
This seems simple to make.
i imagine it would taste okay with hemp seeds, but the taste of pumpkin seeds are WAY different from sunflower (in my opinion anyways) i would go with the hemp. You could also just use another seed/nut that you like, if i dont have sunflower seeds i use raw cashews or walnuts.
My son is allergic to sunflower seeds… wonder if it would taste as good with pumpkin or hemp seeds? Think I’ll try that out at our next potluck.
Looks great! You’re sunflower seeds look a bit odd.
i love your dishes!
yum! cant wait to try that one :—)!!!
